I've been wearing Hattie's factor 50 today, but there must've been a small patch on the back of my shoulders that I didn;t get too, as it is badly sunburnt and has a few blisters
I've covered it in sudocrem, but its now starting to ache and sting.

Any advise? (other than the obvious telling off!) :blush

Anyone had or got this? Pins & needles at night caused by blood vessels & tendons being squashed, I have it in my right arm & should have it seen to in about a month with a small op. Question - anyone had any luck getting rid of it without the op? I have some fluid retention & that may be what's causing it so I'm trying out some pills to see if it'll help, anyone got any idea?

Today I have started my diet / training / get fit regime. I am cutting out white bread, crisps and sweets (boring existence then!)
I have just done my workout DVD .... lets say I'm gonna hurt tomorrow.

I would like to lose half a stone, as its all started creeping back up again after falling off last year.

I hope to do my workout a minimum of twice a week, hopefully 3 - or (5 times a fortnight) along with walking to / from school with the pushchair.

I have hamstring origin tendonitus .... a pain in the butt to put it bluntly Its the muscle that bears your weight when you sit down (the ischium) and I have it since before xmas, hence the doc has referred me for physio. Now the waiting list for physio could be up to 7 weeks even as an "urgent" case, so I wondered if anybody else had suffered this and if you can recommend any excercises I can do to ease...

A friend of ours has broken his arm (and has to have an operation of have it pinned, of course) and I had thought of buying him some grapes to cheer him up.

Ironic grapes, you understand. But being fed up and in pain (or drugged to the eyeballs) as he's doubtless going to be going to be, he might not appreciate the irony.

I wondered what the equivalent might be in today world of 'get well soon' gifts?

No sooner, it seems, do I get over the post-Christmas lurgi than I get attacked by another virus! More of the same - fever, dry throat and that germ-infested feeling in my nose. Another s*dding cold! Temperature hovering around 38 (that's about around 100 if C still baffles you) - not high enough to be really ill and not low enough to feel well either.

I feel sorry for myself!

grandaughter update (convulsions)

You may remember I told you that our 4 yr old grandaughter had convulsions. After her 3rd hospital stay and various tests, they now think that she might be diabetic. (Tests revealed low blood sugar levels and high acid in her urine) Therefore they are sending her up to St Thomas hospital in London for tests. Poor thing has to starve for 24 hours.She is now waiting for an appointment.
Let you know more when we do.
