After much pondering I decided to treat myself to an MP3 player.

Pens somehow managed to get drawn into my troubles with getting it to work via PM's and will now be very pleased to know that I can use the thing
The distruction book, I swear, does not tell me how to load books in the way I am doing it

There's a dramatisation on the telly tomorrow (Sunday). Really enjoyed the book series so hopefully, this will be as good.

We've not had a book chat for a while

I'm reading "The Club" by Manda Sue Heller and I'm about to give up with it, its REALLLY naff!
Got 5 books out the library last week, and I don't fancy any of them next except 1 - "The Girls Guide to Modern European Philosophy" by Charlotte Greig. It was one of those last minute picks, and looks like a light-hearted read.

Mistresses. I thought it was a really good series. It was nothing like I expected it to be and I loved all the characters in it.

Has anyone been watching this programme, on BBC 2 on sunday evenings? I only ask because my brother is the producer of the series..

I am trying to download it via the BBC I player and it is taking forever!! I am getting really fed up with BT and the blooming slow service over the past few days!

I loved Life on Mars, but I don't think I will watch Ashes to Ashes again because it just seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and, in this case, I don't think it works.

It's a film staring Anthony Hopkins. I don't think there is anyone who wouldn't enjoy this. We had the DVD given to us by a friend and played it tonight. Made in New Zealand. See if you can find it at a video store, it is worth watching.

Must be the long dark nights, but I'm racing through books at the moment! Following on from "3 men in Another boat" on TV last week, I got "Round the Baltic with Bob" written by Gryff (sp) Rhys Jones. About half way through it and its very enjoyable. He's got quite a short fuse and is very emotional!

Board & Card Games

Over the Christmas period, we dug out some board games and also the cards. Trivial Pursuit came out tops, we all enjoyed it, although the questions are a bit dated now and one has to cast one's mind back.

The card games were fun too, I'd forgotten how to play half of them, but it comes back to you.

Do you enjoy an evening of silly board/card games? I do!

I've just started this, its by the same author as a Short History of Tractors in Ukranian (or something like that!)

I;ve just finished Exit Music by Ian Rankin which is a Rebus story.... does anybody know if there's going to be anymore? The way this ended kind of made it look like the last one

I have never been tempted to read Bill Brysons' books before, but I got an audio book out called 'Down Under' and boy is it funny!!

His description of cricket made me laugh out loud today and I got a few funny looks from people who couldn't see what was so funny about digging out nettles from a front garden border!

Well, I'm completely hooked. Wasn't that an amazing episode when the Bennet house blew up and Claire walked out all nuked!!!

And now it has come to pass that Isaac has met the grizzly end depicted right at the beginning at Silar's hands. Who knows if Hero can come back and alter time, or if Claire can resurrect him, as she did Peter.

I hope other Heroes fans are enjoying it as much as I am. I like the bit afterwards when the actors talk about it, as it often explains bits...
