No. it's not Ray! but it helps a lot. I use the hose during the hottest months (did I say hose? I meant to say mains water carefully carried about) but
that is only for about 1/2 hour every other day & our water bill isn't a great deal. I worry about using mains water as we do get shortages but until
the council stops watering the road & there silly b. roses I think I have the right to use it as much as they do!

Collecting rainwater does pay off doesn't it Mammaj. I have a 200 ltr tank in the Greenhouse, 2 more outside to collect runoff from the Greenhouse roof -
and 1000 lts that we collect around the house. But it's never enough is it?

Water tankered in for everything or for garden use? We have mains water & I have 2 1,000 lt tanks to collect rainwater. We do get shortages in the summer
& our supply is cut off for part of the day. It makes me so angry as there are a lot of new holiday places around here now & they all have swimming
pools & THEY have to keep their gardens looking good but no extra provision has been made. In town they also have an automatic watering system to water
roses at the traffic...

They get to about 3 to 4 metres.....and they spread, as you can see from the before and after.Ours gets a chop like that twice a year,
along with the rest of the garden. In the height of summer when we get temperatures up to 45oc but usually around 35 to 39 (we usually have about 5 to 6 days
over 41) but this year has been terribly hot, and we have often had that high heat for days on end, we still only watered 2 days a week, for about 10 minutes.

Ally that plant looks huge! Does it need a lot of water? The flowers as you say aren't as nice but those leaves are to die for (ok so no one dies for a
leaf but you get my drift)
