Kitty, they are in the ground, south facing by my front door and I don't give them any 'after care' except some water and tying in the bits I can reach. I wish I could get higher up the drain...

What about this for a coincidence? I went to Morrisons for a few bits and look what they had 2 rows of, and what made it even stranger they were the only 2 varieties they had. So they just had to fall into my shopping trolley.

That is spectacular Lass. I have failed in the past with clematis. I don't think I'm good at the after care. Are they in the ground or a pot?

Saph, just to add I have just ordered 3 clematis from Taylors for a customer of mine. I ordered them on Wednesday and they say that they will come tomorrow They have emailed me to confirm this!

43 Clems Saph.. I had nearly that many in a garden I lived in once, but left them to the new owners.. ho hum!!

Just thought I would add both clematis are available at Taylors Clematis one of our Auction Supporters. They do a postal service at home and abroad and their plants are brilliant and Dawn said they are packed really well for delivery. I'm at 43 Clems at the mo, most coming from Taylors.

Oh wow, Lass! I would give my eye teeth for blooms like that. I don't have a lot of luck with clematis, except for my Jackmanni. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful display.

Mammaj,
Mine are growing on some netting tied around the drain pipe! There are white roses growing underneath but it's still too early for them to flower, although there are lots of buds.
