As the IE option to increase the type size doesn't work on the forum messages, you have to resort to other means if you're having trouble reading the messages because it looks too small.
A simple suggestion - if you like to work with your browser filling the screen, 'switch on' favourites (or search, or anything) so you have a column
of something else on the left.
This will shorten the line-length and that helps a lot with ease of reading.

If that doesn't help enough, you might consider changing the resolution setting for your monitor (Windows xp: Start - Control panel - Display - Settings
tab). I use 1280 x 1024 pixels on this (17" flat) monitor, and if I set it to 800 x 600 everything, and I mean everything, is huge! But if I were
seriously having trouble seeing the screen I'd try to find a happy medium.
