Device Locator etc but I just don't know what to look for.

I am wanting to get extra memory for my comp. I have the info sheet that details: Memory Summary,
Device Locator etc but I just don't know what to look for. Can anyone help please?

Download a copy of CPU-Z and run that. It will tell you what memory you have and what slots you have free

Thanks for the link and Jane, thanks for the info. I have 2 gb at the mo, and can go to 4 gb for under £70.

Beaver, be aware unless you are running a 64bit Windows Version, Windows won't be able to use 4Gb properly and will probably only see 2.5 or 3.0Gb of it.

That's interesting Jane. I've had a quick look at "about Windows" and it doesn't say anything about which 'bitrate' it is. Can
you tell me how to find out please?

Just right click on My Computer/Computer, and select properties and it will say x64 or 64bit if it's the 64 bit version and 32bit if it's 32bit.
