I wondered if anyone had any ideas so that i can contribute to the auction. As you can imagine, the cost of postage from here, makes it very hard to think
of something to send over. Has anyone else from overseas sent auction items and if so what? I've racked my brain, and really can't think of anything. I
had thought of getting OH who is in the UK to 'do' something, but really don't want to ask him, as his time is taken up by his Mum who he is taking
back and forth to hospital to visit his Dad, and apparently he has been given his Dads bedroom to decorate. I dread to think what sort of mood he will be in
when he gets back next week.
I had thought of sending some bulbs or seeds etc but apparently i'm not allowed to. So that idea was dashed. A spark of genius would be good

Know the feeling, Ally - postage cost is bad enough between the UK and Belgium!
Apart from the obvious very small and/or light objects, the only other option I've thought of is things that don't need to be posted at all, but can be sent electronically. That's why I've produced so many "thingies" - a lot of them have been auctioned. I'm not suggesting you take up the arcane art of animated gifs (unless you want to, of course), but think "expertise". Or, and I've just thought of this so it may be daft, I suppose one could browse (UK) mail-order catalogues and offer to pay for a specific thing advertised? A friend of mine used to give me the occasional present of a magazine subscription, but perhaps that's a bit expensive. Dunno. Vouchers for gardening stuff? Of course it might involve extra admin for someone at the UK end - brain just fused - can't think it through! Coffee needed - preferably intravenous!
