Garden.ie
This is an Irish gardening site. It has a useful questions page & a lot of "how to" information. It also has three discussion groups. If you are registering from outside Ireland, just pick any county you fancy when registering - I would highly recommend Cork. :-)

A site that could be descibed as a Garden Encyclopaedia.

Gardening for Vegetarians
Interesting and thought-provoking information from the vegetarian society with useful hints for environmentally & animal-friendly gardening. Has some useful hints for avoiding use of pesticides & protecting young plants from slug damage.

The-Organic-Gardener
Explains organic gardening methods, including weed control, compost-making & how to use gardening tools effectively. "Growing naturally, pure & beautiful."

Organic Gardening
A great site with lots of information on organic gardening.

Postcode Plant Database (Natural History Museum)
This site gives a comprehensive list of plants, both wild and cultivated, that can be found in your area. It will also tell you of their usefulness as a garden specimen. All you do is type in your post code and away you go!

Royal Horticultural Society
With the Plant Finder, Garden Finder and Event Finder, this is always a good site to visit.

UK Allotments.info
An information site for all UK allotment users (and potential users). Extensive glossary of gardening terms.

The African daisy: lots of colourful photographs and information on propagation, botany and plant care of this popular plant. There is also a free Osteospermum screensaver available.

The Polar Palms
A great site on the most hardy sub-tropicals. These people actually grow palms in sub zero temps !! They are more than willing to answer any question by email and are a "cant do without" when you are presented with a problem on what to grow, where and how.

Four Web sites that contain hundreds and hundreds of beautiful photographs, by the holder of the national plant collections of Crocosmia with Chasmanthe, Tulbaghia, Eucomis and Galtonia, Freesia (Anomatheca Group) and Amaryllis (including x Amarygria, x Amarine and x Amarcrinum), who also happens to be a very nice man who let us use one of his photographs in the Auction Room. :)
