DyoFix algae inhibitors for ponds
Two products to help keep the dreaded green gunge at bay!
First there's DyoFix Black - as seen on the Beeb - for ornamental ponds & water-features that don't have fish: it blocks the sun's rays so starves the algae of their food source. Plant and filter safe, it really enhances the reflective properties of ponds too!
For ponds with fishy inhabitants there's DyoFix Blue. This is clever stuff: apparently the parts of daylight that supply the algae with food are the blue, violet and indigo part of the spectrum, so they've made a cunning blend of dyes that acts as a barrier by reflecting these colours away from the surface and, at the same time, allows the other parts of the light into the pond. I'm impressed!
