Herbaceous Perennial Posts: 535 14-10-07 13:08 Flowering Annual	Hi All, As half term hols are approaching, i was wondering if any members are thinking about meeting up. If not, does anyone have any ideas of places I could visit, or where i can find a list of places to visit around East Yorkshire. I am feeling a bit low at the moment, and thought a day out may cheer me up, but finances won't stretch very far. Any ideas anyone? Christine

Do check the NT site but some places can be expensive to visit. Waddesdon Manor near me cost 15 There arn't many meets at this time of year as in terms of gardens and nature there isn't alot going on bar the autumn colours of trees

Herbaceous Perennial Posts: 535 04-11-07 19:01 Flowering Annual	Plot, thanks for the message, I ended up staying local most of the half term, I caught up with a few jobs (as you do) Although I did go to York looking round wedding dress shops with my daughter Louise, Thanks for the idea of Helmsley, it is a lovely place, I went a couple of years ago, with the local garden club I am a member of. We have visits once a month through the summer around east yorks, to gardens etc and call at garden centres and nurseries while we are out. As I dont drive, and public transport is limited, to where i can get there and back in a day, I dont venture very far on my own. Anyway, thanks again, Christine
