Real Gardeners is run by the Members for the Members, and this is why it has been so successful over the years. There is no compulsory joining fee - the whole site is open to everyone - but downside to this is that we are also responsible for paying to keep the site online.
You can help by becoming an Ez-supporter. It costs less than 7 a year and it means that RG does not incur any costs whenever you view the forums and make postings. Real Gardeners, however, is much more than simply a set of forums. If you have never visited the main site youll have a treat in store. Just click on the heading of any forum, and you will see what I mean.
We have various ways of raising funds to accommodate both the shortfall in payments for the forums and various other important areas. If you enjoy RG why not visit our FUNDRAISING PAGE and see if you can help in a small way.
Posting Guidelines
Real Gardeners is a worldwide family site so please, before you make a posting, consider whether it is likely to offend others.
Any postings that are hateful, disrespectful, or in any other way offensive, as well as any postings that attack others, whether by name, race or religion will not be tolerated and will be deleted.
Before you make a posting please consider whether it is suitable for the youngest member of your family to read. These forums are read by young children and for this reason any unsuitable postings will be deleted.
If you do see a posting that offends you please dont credit it with a reply. Simply ignore it. If you feel very strongly about it then email us and we will review it and see if it should be deleted.
All this seems a lot of rules and regulations but it is done simply so that we can all enjoy the forums. They are a fun and friendly place and we do hope you will come back again and again, not only to read the messages but to share your experiences with us as well.
Your Title When Posting
Now to the fun bit. You will see when you post as a registered user in here you will get a title under your name according to how many posts you have made into these Forums. Here is a rundown of how the titles work.
1-5 posts - New Seed
6-25 posts - Seedling
26-100 posts - Plug Plant
101-500 posts - Flowering Annual
501-2000 posts - Herbaceous Perennial
2001-3000 posts - Mature Shrub
3001 post plus - Established Tree
