I fancy having a go at making one of these for the hall, or my bedroom (depending how it turns out!) but haven't a clue where to start or what I need.
Does anybody make them? Are they easy?

Hi Muggs, I used to help my mum and aunties make them when i was little, out of cut up rags etc. but they were also called peg rugs.
You can get them in kit form now, which I believe are quite straight forward, using strips of fabric, and like a sacking to push the fabric into. to make various patterns. happy rugmaking Christine |

They still make these big time over here, but they seem to use looms to make them.

I made one a year or so ago Muggs I did put it in crafts some where. They are easy to make but the bits you get off them are a nightmare Mine lives in the
kichen now and needs a good beating. Hessian sacking and lots of spare material preferably that doesnt fray
