Got a glut of lettuce! I've already given loads away to assorted passers-by, local old folks flats etc then had the brainwave of making a lettuce soup!

Thanks for those, folks but I've learnt my lesson - lettuce soup is just SO wrong!
My recipe wasn't all that different to some of the ones up there.... onion, lettuce, chives, bit of green pepper, some peas straight from the garden, bay leaf, bit of garlic, veggie stock & cream at the end. Can't say I didn't try!!!!! bleuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh ![]() |

Boggin is a word used here in N Ireland quite a lot. The meaning here is 'dirty' ie, my house/windows/floor is boggin!

I have no idea where the word boggin comes from originally but I know the ex used to use it a lot and he was from Northamptonshire
