well it looks like it might be a nice day

Just put more washing on the line and made the 8 packed lunches up.
Committee meeting this morning at 10am so we are going up the lottie for a couple of hours before hand to get some much needed work done on our plot !
Rest of the day will be painting more show stands and cooking a roast beef dinner.
Better go feed the zoo now, have a great Sunday all xxx

Good morning Dawn and Helen and others, (where are you all?) It is mid afternoon here and I have made a start cleaning up the storm damage in the river reserve. I had already sawn up the biggest limb and was onto this one before I thought to take a piccie. Marvellous what a 300mm, (12"), chainsaw can achieve. The larger limb was 300mm diameter itself but my little Stihl still managed it. This one is about 200mm, (8").

Think I've done my dash for today, maybe more tomorrow if the weather stays fine.

Well we are all off letter boxing on Dartmoor shortly (not Tom tho' he didn't get in until about 4.00am), then Emily has 2 ballet shows later, one of which I am helping with and the other I am watching!! (I have MUG written across my forehead!). At least the weather is nice, so Dartmoor should be bearable

O H has two days off (last payed hols before he retires)

Good morning from Tring. Glad to know you had a chainsaw Bill. I have one and it scares the life out of me. Had a good tidy of the patio area yesterday clearing the grass/weeds from between the paving stones. Going to pot up some fuchsias and mow the lawns later. Think the fall onto my shoulder has set me back quite a bit. It hurts more than pre/post op days.

Morning all. Dry but cloudy here a nd likely to stay that way - good weather for the allotment, then. Kit, I think you should be resting your shoulder again not charging around with the mower! I know you get very bored but heaven knows what damage you could do to it.

I echo Laurel, Kitty - you should be resting that shoulder not pushing a lawnmower. Ask Dave to do it for you.

I also think you should visit the doc tomorrow and have it checked out.

Beautiful morning here too but, like Maggie, we too had a late night chatting to friends so its a slow start this morning. Nothing much planned for today, especially as the house is lovely and clean after our efforts yesterday morning so I don't have to feel guilty if I sit around (as long as I don't look at the garden

). We've got a fundraising cream tea to attend this afternoon - its difficult I know but somebody has to do it! It's for our local Cats Protection group - the charity which supports Salli's two cats who Kitty is looking after.

This evening we're scoring for the quiz so I must try to stay awake.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone, especially any feeling under the weather.

lazy day for me today washing and ironing was done yesterday the garden is tidy so after I've cooked Sunday lunch I'm going to play on my laptop bought a new game yesterday called Mahjong Escape Ancient Japan

Good morning.

It's a very wet muggy day here this morning. the window's are all
fogged up. My SIL put an air conditioner into my bedroom yesterday and I had the best sleep in weeks last night.

I'm still trying to come to grips with mom's diagnosis of middle stage alzheimer's. It wasn't surprising, but still hard to hear and accept that there is no chance of improvement. I've got a list a mile long of things to do and people to contact.

Kitty, I echo what's been said, easy does it!

Evening all, been a busy day as the sun was shining even though a gale force wind accompanied it - we either seem to have wet days, or sunny windy ones! :0

Went to the lottie this morning and picked peas, 1st cabbage, last of the broccoli, onions, rasberries, blackcurrants and potatoes

A lovely haul! Had the in-laws round for dinner this evening so the peas, cabbage and potatoes went along with the rasberries for pud.

Kitty - get yourself off to the docs tomorrow!! (That's an order btw

)
