Morning Maggie and denis/Laurel who I see have arrived. Back to the gym properly now the cold has gone. Circuits and a body combat class which will keep me
busy from 6.30 to 8.30pm. Still not much to do in the garden but it is lovely seeing the spring bulbs come to life and my hellebores are the best ever this
year.

:hi Morning Maggie and all when you get here. I'm up early for work today and it's dry and 8½ºC - and there was me pondering whether I ought to put
the frost guard on last night. :D
We've got some 'Project Managers' nosing around at BT - half a dozen of them, average age about 12 - which probably means changes are afoot as these people have to justify themselves somehow. When BT don't know what to do with people they tend to get put on a project then they either move up or move out so there's a good deal of desperation involved on their behalf. :rolleyes Have a great day all! :) Edit: Morning, Kit! :)

Dull but dry here. We didn't actually get to Weymouth yesterday as Kev wasn't feeling too good. However, we intend to go today instead, let's hope
the birdies are still there.
We've got another miniproject on the go. This time it is in the garden. When we moved here 8 years ago we 'inherited' a gravelled area by the drive where the previous owner parked his van. We have used it on and off over the years to store deliveries of topsoil, concrete, etc but now we think it is safe to have it dug up, rotovated and planted up. It is really too big a job for Kev to tackle with his wonky knee so we're looking for a hefty gardener to do the work. We've got several visiting this week to quote so, hopefully, we should be reasonably straight by May when we anticipate being visited by a vip. Photos, of course, will be forthcoming. ![]()

Hi everyone. Good luck with the project CA. Isn't it awful when you have someone so important visiting that you have to have everything in place?
Personally I've stopped inviting that type of person because they are such a nuisance.
Did a fair bit of gardening yesterday, well I ended up with five bags of garden rubbish although I only did about 9' of the front bed. It is definately not a good thing to plant ornamental grasses in with rosa rugosa as I learned by the puncture marks. Pruned a couple of bits that people say you don't prune, such as one of the rugosas and a cistus that was threatening to take over. The cistus may yet come out, but at least it has revealed a couple of broom, a daylily and a couple of other unknown perennials that are just sticks at the moment. Today is a mundane day, ironing and housework, but I may just take a wee bit of time out to stroll along the beach Hope you all have a good day

Good morning all. Been a nice day here, full cloud cover which kept the temperature down to 27ºc. I've got most of the brick paving finished and the
workmen have nearly finished the first wall. They should be onto the flight of steps shortly. I took down our large-ish clear PVC blind at the end of our
verandah yesterday and gave it away on Freecycle within a couple of hours. The bricks I am going to sell though, there are so many of them and good as new so
should fetch a fair amount.

Morning all - got the kitchen fitters here for their last few hours - thank goodness!! I couldn't bear to live in this mess for much longer. But it has
been worth it, the kitchen looks gorgeous
Have cleaned the sawdust from the lounge this morning, but there's no point doing anywhere else until they have gone. Its a beautiful spring day, the french doors are open and a lovely breeze is blowing the cobwebs away! As soon as they've gone the washing machine is being switched on ... and on ... and on! Have a good day x |

Dry & dull here after a wet start. Just chores for me & maybe a potter about outside after lunch......there's so much tidying up to do out there Not sowing any seeds this year.....with Molly in her destructive phase it's hardly worth planting up my tubs, just going to plant up the hanging baskets

Good morning all. It's wonderful hear about everyone's gardening projects coming to life although I must admit, looking out at the mountains of snow, it does make me a bit envious. ![]()
