Looks quite dull out there today so methinks I may go get my euros before the exchange rate gets worse. Have a good Tuesday all

Mornin Maggie/All.
Nice morning here, but yesterday started the same, and then we had thundery hail storms. Had a busy weekend, as needed today off to go to the IFEX. Going with a group from one of our local hostleries.

Dry here but looks like we are about to have a drop more of the wet stuff.
I do hope the gardener will be able to cut the grass as I need the garden
to look respectable for the weekend. We took a car load of stuff to the tip yesterday and still have loads left in the garage to get rid of, its
surprising how junk accumulates when you're not looking.
I think I will be dragging Kev around Weymouth today as it will be too wet to garden. I need one or two things for my hols. )
I hope that Dawn's student continues to improve and that Bolly Cat's results come back soon and are good.

Morning all. Nice here at the moment but another day of sunshine and showers is forecast - could be worse. I had some good news yesterday when I got in to work. Last week they asked for people who might like to change a morning shift in for a Sunday one, it was supposed to be 'an expression of interest' but I found that as of this Thursday I have two days off together - Thursday and Friday and working mornings Saturday and Sunday. So I will now work 25 hours and get paid for 30 (sweeeeet!) and I've got shot of my difficult parking day on Thursday as I can park in the BT car park at weekends. It may only be temporary but I really hope not. The only downside is that I have to do this on residential faults (151) which I haven't done for some time so it could prove 'interesting'. Another pottering sort of day for me, I think. Have a great day all!

Hi all!
We have established a new record for the most rain to fall in April since 1922. Great for the start of the winter here, we hope that it keeps tumbling down everyday till September. Hope your day is as you like it. ![]() Roygee Western Australia |

Who's got a brand new thingy then? Very nice Roy.
Good morning all. We've had way over our rainfall for the month too, but I doubt it is a record. Might get a bit more tomorrow too to finish off the month. We've been in Albany all day. Got the all clear from the specialist who did my op, but not to lift anything heavy for a few weeks yet. Our neighbour turned up this morning as we were about to leave, offering to mow our lawn for us as I am not cleared to do that yet. Nice of him as I hadn't cast any hints. We arrived home to a beautifully cut lawn. |

It's good afternoon from me.
I'm just waiting for my first cut of rhubarb to stew. It's been a busy morning as the sun shone and I wanted to get a ton of laundry out on the line. I took my mom to doctor yesterday. She absolutely hates that I have to go with her now and makes it most unpleasant. I always come away from it feeling wounded. The temps fell below freezing last night. I was so lucky because while I did manage to bring in my two hanging Boston ferns, I completely forgot about the Agapanthus that's been potted and is sitting on the back porch. I was so glad to see it's new shoots just emerging still look alright. I've yet to have luck growing this plant, but that would have been a real tragic beginning. So good to hear that Australia seems to be over it's droughty years. Your gardens are all going to be so happy. Wonderful to hear that you've got such a great deal at your work, Laurel. I hope it lasts for you. Sometimes the gods smile on us. Great neighbours are such a treasure aren't they Bill? They really can make all the difference. Well, the ruhbarb's just about ready so I'd better get on with it. Moe loves rhubarb so it'll be nice to surprise him with it tonight.
