I've looked at Interflora but they seem to charge extortionate prices!
I don't know if it would be easier to contact a NZ florist and do it that way.
Any recommendations would be appreciated

I want to send flowers to a friend in NZ for her Birthday in May, there seems to be hundreds of sites on the net but I would rather use one that comes
recommended.

I've used three places Muggs Interflora, Teleflorist and a company in Jersey (sorry I don't recall the name.) Teleflorist were good value for money and
the flowers reached Australia still looking really fresh. Wendy said they lasted for over two weeks even in the summer heat.

Can't help Sharron. don't suppose there are international companies that accept, exchange gift vouchers? At least that way she could choose her own
flowers/plant and make sure they are good. I know a voucher is not the same as having an arrangement delivered to your door. Maybe you could put silk petals in
the card/voucher that spilled over when she opened it. You'd only need to buy a silk flower and dismantle it. That would be the 'special' element.
An idea anyway

You need to ask Bewilderedbeast who she uses - whoever it is has delivered some ravishing ones to me on her behalf, including these glorious lilies:

How about going online, putting in the name of the town or nearest city your friend lives in, and 'florists' afterward, and
ringing them yourself, hopefully if a name or two comes up. They may even have an online 'paypal' type of account, if they are big enough. That is what
i do for sending to UK relies...go straight to the horses mouth as it were...much cheaper, and more personal.

I've always used Flying Flowers based in Jersey - but have never sent them abroad before.

Flying Flowers!!!!! That's the one I was trying to remember the name of. Thanks Mrs Sue. I sent cut orchids from them to a friend and they lasted nearly
twelve weeks!!! Good value for money I'd say.
