Established Tree Posts: 16312 03-05-08 15:58 Image Coordinator	Well it was a lovly walk around the gardens, one heck of a climb to see the view of Chisel beach but well worth it, A good turn out with CA and Kevin, Pip, Jane and partner Rich and Hilary, John and myself. We had a mini plant swap in the car park, a nice cuppa and a chat and loads of pictures have been taken Stop press ..................... I didn't buy ONE SINGLE PLANT ! The others where still munching when i left so they should be along later

Established Tree Posts: 18411 03-05-08 16:19 Quiz Coordinator	Here are a few pics for you to be going on with - I took 120 and left Jane and Steve going around for the second time (Jane had already taken more photos than me after the first round ) This is JaneT doing what Jane does. I would call this this the three wise monkeys - but on the other hand . . . . . (Dawn, John, Pip) This is halfway up a hill - we were heading for a view of the coast. Dawn and John had already run up the hill but Pip, Rich & Hilary weren't quite so energetic. A right rogues gallery At the back LtoR: Rich, Kev (CA's OH), Jane, Steve (Jane's OH) Front LtoR: Pip, John (Dawn's OH), CA, Dawn (Flower of Shona) Hilary (Rich's OH) was taking the photo. Rich and Hilary photographing a Kookaburra More to come in a mo.

Established Tree Posts: 18416 03-05-08 17:01 Quiz Coordinator	This is the last batch of my photos - Pip says I can't upload all 120 We rather liked the look of this plant but, of course, there was no label and we couldn't see it in the nursery. This is a close up of the bracts and flowers. Any ideas? I had hoped for a group picci on this bridge but by the time Jane, Steve, Kev and I got there the rest were already in the teahouse! I don't remember there being so many bluebells in Abbotsbury in previous years ... but may be we just hadn't visited at the right time. This tulip was a bit different. As did these people Chesil Beach from the top of the hill above the gardens. A garden centre and these two make for a dangerous combination, ask Dawn about the bird feeder. To be fair, Pip bought only one plant, then Chris-Ann led her astray (easily done). The answer lies in the soil - Arthur Fallowfield. My Pond and garden projects site. Those gardens are so beautiful with everything just emerging in the early spring. Wonderful shots from everyone and I especially loved seeing some of my favourite RGers. I think they're about the best pictures I've seen of you all. Definitely a most handsome group of gardeners!
