Wet here but Metcheck forecast says it will fine up soon. Scissors is determined to get her "new" greenhouse finished... hence the early start.

Not wet here ... yet.

I have to get those plants I was either given or bought on Saturday into the ground today so I hope the rain doesn't actually arrive here until they're in. The rest of the day will be spent sorting out holiday gear and getting things packed as we leave at the crack of dawn for the airport tomorrow.

I may well not be joining in with the Good Morning thread tomorrow as my eyes don't open at that time of day.

Hopefully there'll be computer access in the hotel so that I can keep an eye on things.

wall to wall sun shine here been out working for the lass 2 hours so just come in for a mans size breakfast before start grass cutting can't see any clouds yet fingers cross it stays like that all day

Sunshine here as well. No bank oliday or I should say it is back to work after the bank holiday, they had it from the 1st May and as that was a thursday a lot of people took an extra day and had a 4 day break.

Got to get some soil and manure for my new raised bed I have been busy doing over the last 3 weeks

Morning all! It's quite nice here at the moment but I think we're due rain later this afternoon. No specific plans but I have a vague notion that I'll plant up my two front pots, maybe allotment - we'll see what occurs. Kit, have you tried just connecting your new pooter via the yellow ethernet cable to your router? Enjoy your hols, CA - looking forward to the pictures already. Have a great day all!

Glorious sunshine here - but it's not a holiday (ours was on 1 May).

Just noticed one of our neighbours - a delightful old lady - being loaded into an ambulance, though. No sirens or big emergency, but stretchered in nonetheless. Do hope she's OK.

Good Morning,

It's sunny and going up to 18C here today, but it not lightening my mood any. I was up most of the night holding my little Shitzu, Thistle. She's 17 yrs. old and just lately in a very bad way. It got worse over the weekend, so now I'm just waiting for the vet's office to open as it would seem that it's time to say goodbye to our little faithful friend.

Evening all ... sorry to hear about Thistle Shirley

It is very sad to lose a pet

It's been a scorcher here - obviously unlike the northern part of the county for Jean! We've been pottering around in the garden all day, spent an hour or so at the lottie, potted up a strawberry pot at home with spare plants from the lottie and got my hanging baskets planted too. Designed a pergola for the top corner of the garden, currently occupied by the compost bin so that will have to move.

Back to work tomorrow and its forecast a scorcher for the rest of the week

I was so sorry to hear about your doggy Shirley. We become so attached to our pets that to lose them is almost like losing one of our family. I know we would be devastated if anything happened to Murphy and we've only had him a year. (Then there is Nimbus, but he just goes on and on. I have a feeling he will last longer than me!)
