No plans for me just take it as it comes day. Family over for dinner tonight otherwise I may get to potter outside. Glad I got the grass cut the other day before it rained. The sun is out at the mo, hope it stays there. Have a good Friday all

Well after a disturbed night (Emily got up at 3.30am and said she was too excited to sleep) we are now up and having breakfast. Jamie has been sick so Tom is looking after him today while I go to work. Emily has unwrapped all her presents and is off to school.

No sunshine here yet but at least it's not raining.

We have the carpet man coming this morning - carpet cleaning man that is. We're having the hallway carpet done and the dining room with just the entrance areas of other rooms. All the dining room furniture is in the guest bedroom along with one or two cats who are fascinated at what's going on. Once the machine is working we won't see the cats as it makes a lot of noise and is even scarier than the vac.

Our meal out last night went very well except that the pub was very busy and one or two of the items weren't available, eg sparkling mineral water and vanilla icecream.

As the pub is run by people from the village I guess they haven't quite got their supply system fine tuned.

(The last time we were there they only had one type of wine available! Fortunately Kev said that it was a good wine so that wasn't a problem.

)

Glad to hear that you are progressing slowly Kitty and I hope that Jace's lump isn't cause you too much concern. Hopefully Laurel's cough will be clearing up too and Shirley's back. I haven't noticed Saph posting recently and hope that just means she's too busy or the computer is having problems.

Must rush otherwise the carpet man will be here before I'm dressed.

Morning all. Very overcast here and quite a lot cooler - I think we're in for a non-seasonal few days. Every day the cough is improving. Out this morning to see a friend with computer problems so expect a lot of random clicking and cursing. Maybe out for dinner this evening catching up with Mr Myrt. Make sure you take it easy and let the wound heal up properly, Kit, or you'll be back to square one. Have a great day all!

Just work and cleaning and mass bed changing on the cards for me today.
Need to get the new carpet down in the bedroom tonight so we can get the beds made ect ready for the 3 new students arriving Sunday.
Feeling a little down today as it s the day my dad died

Good morning RGworld. Don't plan for much of a bang up 4th. Working. Most of my stops are closed today. The one that is the longest trip is open so I have to go out early. Unless called out all I will have to do today is watch TV and some housework. Plan to watch the fireworks at the capital tonight on TV.
Let most of my plants go to some some folks here in the subdivision. They helped me clean up my yard. After spending most os April and May unable to work, my front and back yard was in pittiful condition. My tiger, chinny and little bit (kitties) enjoyed it though. Little bit gave birth to four kittens last friday. I was going to have her fixed but because of my injury I was unable to do so. The papa is black and white male I call Hi neighbor. I do not know who he belongs to but he shows up every morning for feeding and sometimes in the late agternoon feeding. He does belong to someone as he does not stay here all the time.

PS; Miss Kitty. Hope you are better. How is Jason? My flat coated retreiver ( a black golden) is doing well. I know how it is to have such a large dog as a inside dog. He heard me call him a lab. and thought I said lap. He thinks he is a 85lb lap dog.

Afternoon all. Not had a good start to the day as I had a visit to the Consultant for my results following what felt like every test known to man. When not only did he walk in, but his Junior Dr and his Junior doctor I thought it was a rather ominous sign. After I had advised him the pain has spread and worsened now to my hip, he looked at both and told me it wasn;t just in the one hip, but both of them and he was pretty certain it was arthritic disease. He wanted to keep me in for treatment today but I couldn't get my head around it at that time and am going in in a couple of weeks for steriod injections and arthritus tablets and a meeting with the arthritus nurse.

it doesn't matter how many times I say it, I still feel sick.

What frightening news. However, he did want you in for treatment so there is something they can do for you - these days the NHS doesn't offer treatment lightly.

oh poor you Muggs, I'm really sorry that you've had such horrid news.

You look much too young to be suffering from such problems. Get all your questions together before you go back to see your consultant and you'll be much better prepared then. There's no way you can take in such news and get all the answers at the same time. At least they have some treatment to offer you. Also - start eating oily fish!
