Hmmm, yum, i can smell the wonderful fresh warm from the vine tomatoe smell, looking at those Scotty. Do they taste good? Stunning looking plant. Do you keep
it in full sun or part?
A couple of years ago, i managed to be at the garden centre when they had just got the new seedlings in. Being sorely tempted and not right in the head, bought a punnet of each type they had. What a mess. I can't plant them in my garden up here, (no room whatsoeve) so i had large pots everywhere....masses of them. Twice a day watering of them nearly killed me, there were so many of them. Of course they all fruited at the same time, so we had tomatoes coming out of our ears. We all love tomatoes BUT. I usually found OH shaking his head, around that time. He's very tolerant and patient. Needless to say i didn't do it again, although the wonderful smell everytime you went outside makes it very tempting, if i think about it Yours reminded me of my mad tomatoe year.

None ripe yet but green ones on 'Shirley' My beafeaters however don't seem to be doing as well as last year. What are you feeding yours on to get
them that big?

Believe it or not Kitty, I haven't fed them anything, only watered them.

Light intensity is really important for toms... which is why it can be a struggle in the UK. Not a problem in Spain!

Got my first handful of Sungold yesterday - before that it was just one at a time and they never made it back to the kitchen. Let's hope that after all
this rain we get some lovely sunshine to ripen up all the developing fruit. I have half a dozen different varieties to look forward to this year. I have loads
of cucumbers at the moment and need some toms to go with!

We are about the same as Plot although you would never beleive it. Toms about 18" tall and about 3 flowers, between 9 plants
timing wise I know we need to be picking bowls full by the third week in
August, what do you think our chances are????
