My bougainvillea is in need of a prune in order to make it bush out more, but how can I prune it when the end of every stem looks like this?

That's why we don't have a conservatory, you'd need a machete to get in!

Well, it looks like it's blooming at it's right time, so probably is just coming to it's end of a large flush, as soon as it looks like it is subsiding, then cut it back, it will benefit for sure. Mine bloom later, outside, that is because I keep them indoors (not greenhouse) in the winter.

It's been like this all winter, as soon as one lot almost finishes, it starts again.
