Judging from my photographs it looks like May is a good time to visit the Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical
Gardens in Dorset. (Between Weymouth and Bridport on the South Coast.) May/June is also a good time to visit the Abbotsbury Swannery (subject to Bird flu of course 
) so we could make it
a two centre meet (not much by way of flowers at the Swannery but lots of swans and cygnets).
