This is where you could be bored, I'll post all 16 piccies here, sorry dial ups. Most of these were taken on a walk around the lake. 
This church was copied in a Gothic style. 
This is the infamous bridge used in the RAC Rally 
Posh dog kennel. 
Eye spy. 
The longest lime tree avenue in Europe, planted in 1840 with 1296 trees. (for peeps who like facts) and is approximately 2 miles long

Just picked my jaw up off the floor. They are beautiful pics Saph. What a lovely place to go for a walk.
Are both dogs yours? I used to have a border collie years and years ago. Fabulous dogs.  Beth xx

Lovely pix, Saph, especially No.4 and the swan close-to.
But I'm also posting cos the one of the dogs watching the swans from the bank reminded me of something:
In 'our' Greek island there is a small river estuary inhabited by many fowl - mostly ducks and geese.
Our cousins have a small mongrel - a true disaster of nature
 - that simply cannot bear to see all that prey just floating there, and plunges in to get
them.
So you have about 10 minutes of the ducks gliding disdainfully away while this tiny woofer paddles frantically after them, puffing and snorting and spitting
water from the side of his mouth as he goes.
'Tis a sight to see!
They also have a border collie look-alide called Frini. ("Frini, a great beauty of the classical era and model for many famous sculptors including Praxitellis and especially Apellis, was used in the many portrayals of Aphrodite.") She - the dog I mean - has odd eyes, and I usually call her Fridi, which means 'eyebrow'.
Here they are with little Mitsos in front, Frini (sporting a new haricut) behind, and to one side is, erm, I've forgotten! 
And here is Andromache, who is a real sweetie, trying out the balcony of her human's newly-built house for size.

One border collie is mine, he's called Mac and he's in front of the posh dog kennel and the other one is called Satch and belongs to my friend Rob. Lovely piccies Pauline, I love the one of Andromache peeping from the balcony. Mac and Satch are a couple of scaredy cats they act brave but when that close up swan hissed at them they were both off like a shot, although Satch did a few quick barks before he ran.

I love the shots of the Gothic style church and the one of Mac in front of his 'posh kennel' Saph. I wouldn't be too brave either if a swan came up
close and hissed at me - they can do a fair bit of damage to legs I can tell you!!
Pauline I can just imagine little Mitsos trying desperatley to catch a goose in the water - they must almost outweigh a dog that size. I wonder just what would happen if he/she ever managed to catch one? |

aaaaaaaaaaw great to see Mac and Satch together. Great photos Saph. Sometimes I wish I could bulk save and bulk upload to jigzone
Pauline M if you return to this thread and say yhere is a way I'll go mental
If you do however Jace used swim after ducks until he followed one almost to the middle of the reservoir and probably struggled to get back. He doesn't bother now :no :no

Thanks for posting those Saph . Some years ago , when visiting Iain and Tracy in Sheffield , we went to Clumber Park for the afternoon . Amongst my hundreds of
photos I have several photos of Clumber Park too . .... before my computer days so they are all in a box . It really is a lovely park to walk round.
