I have planted 10.5 kg of seed potatoes this week as well as working all week I must be about a third of the way there now. What will I do with my week off if
I plant all the spuds before then. I think I deserve the beer I have just had!!!

She is no good at that Kitty. She only has 2 speeds Stop and go and 2 modes wonderwoman or super slob. Not sure which I prefer. She actually said that she
hadn't done much recently.

I would love to get to the lotty and put our spuds in ... they'll be up intime for Christmas at this rate! We've got about 10kg to go in too, and about
60 brassicas to plant ...
Well done Scissors

I've managed to plant some of my spuds in the ground, but the rest will have to go into pots as I haven't got the room in the veg beds, what with
everything else that's in there. I'm hoping to get the rest of the chittings out this weekend.

We have 10 rows in, no room for anymore so just grown earlies and salads and 1 row of main.
Just going to get the onion sets in tomorow before the committee meeting. Sorted the strawberry bed out at home today and sowed some salad stuff (spring onions, lettuce, radish and beetroot), easier to have that at home. Sweetcorn is up in the root trainers and more peas ready to go in, marrows and courgettes are up at home and will start to sow the beans next week |

Wey hay Scissors has just put in the last potatoes on the school's plot. (latest she has ever been) She was delayed by erecting a greenhouse (which was the site of the other potato plot) and an upcoming plant sale X 2 . Will post pictures of her mini nursery and the "new greenhouse" in due course. She was also slowed down by the fact that the school's plot doesn't seem to have been dug manually for years and rotivated to an inch of its life. She was digging out the remains of brick built cold frames. The first 4-5 inches were fine but then hit blue clay. Well we are on the site of an old brick works. Then she dug the part of the brassica bed, did the watering, stacked the dish washer, did the ironing, mended Andrew's school trousers and checked his GCSE PE practice paper. That after a days Study leave in Leeds too. Now she can't sleep. Will need a |
