Isn't this rather early? |

As I was taking a photo of my pot pig in the front garden (and noting the weeds!) I caught a pic of this beautiful butterfly (a peacock?) sitting on a
dandelion. Absolutely beautiful, but I thought these weren't out until about May time?

I've seen the odd butterfly about, Muggs but yes it is a bit early, I think. Lovely shot!

I haven't seen any butterflies yet as it's still a bit chilly for them here. A really lovely photograph Muggs.

Great picture. Peacocks are one of the first butterflies you will see in Spring. They actualy hibernate over winter and pop up in March - April.
You'll see them again during July - September. I saw one as early as 25th February but it was rather moth-eaten! Today, being such a lovely sunny warm day
I saw several of our early arrivals including a Holly Blue rather suprisingly!
Ooops! a bit big for a tiny butterfly! I shall have to remember to resize my pictures.

What a fabulous shot, Muggs! I hope you enter it in the next contest, cause I think it's a winner for sure!
It does seem early for butterflies though, I agree.

A really beautiful butterfly, and a lovely shot. I've never tried but it must be very hard getting a butterfly.
(Don't think we get those here Bill, do we?)
