I'm not sure if this is in the right place (or even the right forum!), but I was wondering if anybody here could tell me everything about "money trees", a.k.a. pachira aquatica as houseplants? I just got one today (it reminded me of my dad, who died this last January - he got one for his fiftieth birthday in 2003. His plant died shortly before he did from lack of care), and I've found a lot of conflicting info online. One source said to keep it in the "dark", whatever that means, and another said to give it plenty of light (but without direct sunlight). I've even found conflicting info about how (and how often) to water it! I'd like to look after this plant properly, as a way of remembering Dad, instead of just "keeping it alive". Any and all advice would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Have you seen this information
http://www.houseofplants.co.uk/Pachira_aquatica.htm
I put this new money tree in a plastic pot (one of those double pots with a
colander-type upper pot through which the water seeps out and into the lower pot, only I used a paper towel as a filter to keep the soil from escaping down).
The new pot is a bit bigger than the one the plant came in - 25ish cm in diameter as opposed the 20 or so centimetres it was in at the shop. I intend to try
and remember to water it through the lower pot - there's a kind of slot for just that purpose on one side.
