We last went down there about 3 days ago .. since then the peas have come through, the cucumber seedlings are nearly all through, there are hundreds of flowers on the strawberries, the swede seedlings are through

and lots of the potatoes are making an appearance (they did go in a little late!)

Today I planted 10 pea bean plants, 10 red robin tomato plants, 4 sun baby tomato plants, 4 gardeners delight tomato plants and 4 sweet millions.
Also a row of cabbage, a row of calabrese and a row of cauliflower plants.

So far this year we have planted (in no particular order!):

Calabrese
Cauliflower
Cabbage
Broccoli
Onions
Peas
Shallots
Carrots
Swede
Pumpkin "Mars"
Pumpkin "Aspen"
Summer squash
Butternut squash
Potatoes - Pink Fir Apple, Maxine, Nadine, Red Duke of York, Desiree
Broad beans
Cucumber
Artichokes
Rasperries
STrawberries
Rhubarb
Blackcurrants
Garlic
Asparagus
Red currants
Mint
Sage
Sweetcorn (not in yet)
Runner beans (not in yet)

.... thats about it so far!

Well Muggs that list looks very impressive ,and as to how mine is doing I have not touch it at all this year so the grass paths needs cutting the plots need cleaning out from lass year the broccli and cabbage plants have gone to seed so it looks a right mess. but hopefully at the end of this month I will be fully fit and able to start work on it, so this year all my veg will be bought mostly all will be grown localley .so it will have a rest and be ready for the 2009 season and be back to full production . I have been able to do salad and toms peppers and chilles

Sorry to hear you've not been able to work on your plot

I think we've gone rather mad to be honest! I have to confess I forgot about the basil peppers and toms planted at home! :8

I have 3 sorts of toms 1 standard 2 cherry
butternut squash (as I couldn't find seeds i got them from a plant I biought so those may not work)
Pumpkin
2 sorts of beans
2 sorts of courgette (yellow and green)
gerkin
beetroot
swede
cauliflower
2 sorts of carrot
parsnip
radish
garlic
corn

Cwm. I hope you are back in control of it soon. As you know I just do salad crops in containers. Sharron you have certainly put alot into your lottie. I wonder when you find the time.

I wouldn't be able to do it all without my Dad's help Kitty

At this time of year we spend most of Saturday there (beats shopping!!) and then a couple of evenings a week we go to do watering, weeding etc - Dad is usually there when we are not. If I can manage it I'll go on the way to pick James up from school on the days I'm not working as its right behind his school.

I would love to spend more time there though!! It's far hotter there than our garden, so its going to be too hot to do anything there today. Might go about 4ish later.

Not a lot going on at the moment I'm afraid.

We have two lots of potatoes in, only done last weekend. Strawberries which were already there from last year. Rasberries which never have any fruit. A few fruit bushes which are pretty much the same. About three pea plants if we are lucky which have survied - Yes they are netted. Some bio-degradable pots which havn't and did contain brussell Sprouts but don't now and need to be dug up - and yes they were netted as well.

We tend to get on better with catch crops rather that proper veg so I think we will stick to those.

Edited to add, we have some sweet peppers and toms on the windowsill which are doing a little better.

Golly Muggs, you and your Dad have been busy!

I have:-
broad beans
two sorts of peas
garlic
onions
three types of potatoes - Desiree, Ratte and Oeil de Perdrix (looks a bit like a King Edward)
one solitary Artichoke plant remaining
Redcurrants
Blueberries
2 types of lettuce
parsnip (but no sign of them yet)
rocket
courgette
pumpkin
In the polytunnel I have 7 varieties of tomatoes (Sungold, Ildi, Brandywine, Black Russian Plum, Moneymaker, Marmande, St Pierre) of which half are about ready to plant out,
Cucumbers (which will stay in)
Peppers (ditto)
Chillis (ditto)
Basil
Dill
Coriander
Chives
Summer Savory

And then I still have loads of things to sow, like spring onions, radish, leeks, carrots, french beans, runner beans, borlotti beans. And I must find space for butternut squash, which I love.

It's a terrible year for the cherries, there will be hardly any fruit; but the apples are doing well.
