Great shots Helen of a very illusive and (now) rare little animal. They are trying to reintroduce them to parts of Britain now. I hope they are successful as I
would hate water voles to disappear altogether from our countryside.

Just magic Helen. Makes life seem so special, when you see wild animals, and get a glimpse of how they live.

Thanks all,
As it was a cold Easter and we were fairly early there were very few people around, there were actually 2 water voles we stood watching for ages until more people arrive and they disappeared.

Lucky you spotting them as they are indeed now very scarce in Britain .

It gives you quite a kick to see secretive little animals like that doesn't it? I can remember the pleasure we felt a couple of years ago when we saw a
bandicoot in our garden.
